The Fruita’s Farmer’s Market takes place every Saturday from the end of June until the end of October.
The new location in Reed Park allows everyone to spread out a little more and really enjoy these beautiful fall days. If you haven’t been to the market yet, here are some of the things we love about the Fruita Farmer’s Market.
Fresh Local Produce – this is what comes to mind first when you think about a farmer’s market and Fruita’s is not lacking. Our local farmers set up shop and you can purchase fresh food straight from the field. The market also participates in SNAP and the Double Up Food Buck Program. So, plan your grocery lists Sunday morning and take advantage of all the wonderful fresh produce you can add to your weekly meals.
Cool Handmade Items – hats, essential oils, photography, and more are available for purchase at the market. If you’re really on the ball, you can peruse the market for some early handmade Christmas gifts for family or friends. Or, just stock up on some of your favorite items to keep at home all year long.
Homemade Baked Goods – Looking for some fresh-baked bread? How about some cookies or other sweet treats? The Fruita Farmer’s Market has you covered! Connect with our locals and utilize their skills for meals and treats at home, or small gatherings that you might be hosting soon. It’s a great way to find a new favorite item.
Animal Friendly – as long as your furry friend is leashed, they are welcome to come with you! Even dogs love coming to the market because it’s a great way to get out and get some fresh air.
Free Carriage Rides – that’s right. You can even relax after all that shopping by taking a free horse-drawn carriage ride with Absolute Prestige Ranch. The carriage will take you on a ride around downtown Fruita and kids just love it.
Will you be coming to the next market after reading the things we love about the Fruita Farmer’s Market? We hope so! Stop by this Saturday to take part in the market before it’s over at the end of this month. It runs Saturday morning from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm at Reed Park in Fruita, Colorado.
